About Me

*currently travelling and do not have a house to host guests*
I'm from Asheville North Carolina and I recently moved out to Washington. I spend most of my time outside drawing or reading. I love mutual aid and believe in building stronger communities through helping one another. Overall I'm a very kind, well rounded person who gets along with most people as long as they're not racist or misogynistic.
As a host I am very hospitable, I love making sure you have a comfortable place to stay and I love to cook for people. My house is a safe place for LGBTQ and POC. I like giving people their space and letting them do their own thing, but I am also down to be a tour guide.
As a guest I am very respectful and quiet. I clean up after myself. I will cook for you. I do my own thing during the days so most of the time I am just looking for a place to sleep, but I also love getting to know people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently I am taking a spontaneous trip to Oakland, and I don't have a place to stay every night so I thought I'd try this app out. It's also fun meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love folk music from around the world, especially Latin America and Africa. I listen to a lot of bossa nova, cumbia, french pop, country, old blues, ambient, there aren't too many genres I don't like. As far as books I like sci-fi/fantasy (Philip K Dick, Ursula K LeGuin, Terry Pratchett). I also like zines about resistance (migrant farm worker rights, YPG/YPJ, Zapatistas, etc) I'm currently reading Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia-Marquez. I also really like graphic novels. I like too many movies...love the criterion collection, documentaries, and studio ghibli.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Existing for 26 years is pretty amazing. The world is a beautiful place and in my travels I've seen a lot of beautiful things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cleaning, cooking, maybe some laughs, bouquets.
