I was born and raised in East Tennessee but left to work on cruise ships for three years. While working on ships I meet Maria a beautiful Colombian lady. We started dating and I moved to Bogotá, Colombia. We lived there for around two years. I took a job in Tennessee and we moved back to the states. We ended up settling down in the state capital of Nashville but I don't think we are going to be here much longer. The itch to travel is getting pretty strong these days.

I like to travel, meet people, explore other cultures, and discover more about myself along the way. I am working hard to learn Spanish right now. I am trying to make up for the fact that I lived in Colombia for two years and still only speak English. I am a bit of a nerd and like to juggle fruit and vegetables every now and then. I have a passion for video production and story telling through a camera lens. We have a YouTube channel where we teach Spanish. So if you speak Spanish we will probably try to get you to make a video with us. I always try to see the good side to everything and be positive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been on the site for a while but have never really used it. So I am still new to the site. Working on cruise ships and living in Colombia really opened my eyes to how great it is to meet people from different places than myself. I want to keep meeting people and learning from them.

Interests

I love making videos with my camera. Right now my wife and I work a lot on our online business teaching Spanish. So I am really interested in all the aspects that go along with that like web design, marketing, and content creation. I love learning new skills. I like cooking, juggling, and riding the unicycle. Recently I have started taking my health more seriously so I enjoy working out and am trying to have a more vegan/plant based lifestyle.

I like all types of electronic music. I am also listening to lots of different kinds of music in Spanish. I like comedies and dramas. I love a good story so any book that tell a good story I am in.

Working on cruise ships was one of the most amazing things I have ever done. That experience was full of great people, cool adventures, and I meet my wife.

I love learning new things. I know how to juggle, ride the unicycle, and solve a Rubix cube. I am always down to learn something new or teach someone how to do something.
