About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Teaching English in the Peace Corps, Indonesia!
ABOUT ME
I'm a recent college graduate looking for adventure abroad! The Peace Corps seemed like a great option to make that a reality. I'm getting to know a new culture and myself as I teach English here in my East Javanese village.
PHILOSOPHY
It's a work in progress, though I've heard it said that you should always have a project that's never finished. Do good unto others and at least do no harm is the motto I try to live by. I love philosophical conversations and learning about the philosophies of others, especially those that challenge mine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I'm not that much of a participant at this point. Another PCV here in Indo got me into CS, though I've known about it for a while. I haven't really used it much, but already I'm making connections that wouldn't be possible otherwise, so I think it's going to be a great tool for me while I'm here and afterwards.
Interests
I have lots of hobbies, mainly camping, hiking, SCUBA diving/snorkeling, biking, baking bread, and writing (though honestly, I'm not very good at that. I should have gotten a degree in outdoor rec instead haha).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Camping in Baxter State Park. What an adventure!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can be your SCUBA diving buddy! Or snorkel buddy :) Also, I'm an English teacher, and while I'm definitely still learning the art of teaching, I feel I can provide instruction toward that skill at least in its basic form (speaking English, that is). I directed a play in college. Um, I can teach you how to do math or ride a bike... I'm sure other things can come up in conversation!
