home away from home: more than the use of the actual couches/beds offered me, I really appreciated hosts' generosity of self, their time and the comfort of being welcome in someone's home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

solo on watch one dawn while sailing in carribean, a young humpback whale approached from the following swell, it turned belly up and slid along the hull of the boat then drifted away to circle back and repeat. it was with me for 45 mins approx, it seemed to be playing. before leaving, it raised its head out of the water and we looked at each other. it was a beautiful and amazing contact.
