About Me
IMPORTANT HOSTING INFORMATION - IF YOU DO NOT READ THEN I DO NOT REPLY
If you do not read my profile I will not accept your couch request :)
I enjoy hosting travelers so for the best experience for both of us please keep in mind when writing your message:
* My name is not "hey" (use my name)
* Arriving at night and leaving in the morning is not an ideal experience, so I might decline 1 night requests
* Why did you choose me? (Something about my profile...?)
* Tell me about your companions or give me their CouchSurfing profile
ABOUT ME
You might not guess it but I am a pretty easy going guy ;) If I accept your couch request then feel free to make yourself at home. We can have a chat about what things you might like to do in Newcastle. If I am not working I can take you to some places inc to see some native Australian animals (koala, emu, kangaroo, wombat).
I spend a lot of time at my craft desk creating cosplay props.
I love Couch Surfing - it is a great way to meet people from around the world, from the comfort of my own home ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I do more hosting than "guesting". Most of my surfing has been a result of finding hosts that have hosted guests that I have also hosted.
I like to help CSers with advice on the area, traveling or ideas. I also try to participate in CS events and activities, which is great as I have been skiing, sailing, kayaking, road trips, BBQs, and other fun things.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experience has been very positive thus far, with only a handful of not so happy experiences. I've hosted well over 110 travelers from over 21 countries but I've only been hosted about 5 times. For a time I as CouchSurfing Ambassador for Newcastle.
I have participated in some CS activities in New Zealand (Auckland) and Australia (Newcastle and Sydney).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While cycling along the southern breakwall in Coffs Harbour's harbour one morning I saw a whale breach. I have also seen dolphins and a school(?) of stingrays in the harbour.
While swimming in the harbour one summer night the water was glowing where ever I kicked my feet.
New Zealand had some wonders for me - hiking halfway up an extinct volcano, black water rafting with a cave ceiling covered in glow worms, finding a tree over 1700 years old and catching a glimpse of one of the world's rarest dolphins.
Teach, Learn, Share
Diversity is always a good thing.
Empty what is full, fill what is empty ^_^
