About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world and meet its interesting denizens.

ABOUT ME

I love being alive, learning, growing, and watching myself learn and grow. I am deeply inquisitive and often ask many questions when I meet a person. I hit the ground dancing in Western Massachusetts seven years ago, and have been calling New England home ever since.

I am passionate about health care and social justice. I have been a nurse for 5 years, and am now working toward becoming a doctor. I'm working out how to best orient my life in order to make a difference in the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Rats and roaches live by competition under the law of supply and demand; it is the privilege of human beings to live under the laws of justice and mercy. WB

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet new people! Last year I couchsurfed my way around the Pacific Rim. I loved meeting the people who live in the places I visited. Amazing people. Amazing times! Would love to continue to both surf and host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently spent a month traveling in Nicaragua. I stayed in a quasi-CS in a small village with a Peace Corps volunteer. It was "quasi" because we actually stayed with one of the local families in the village, but spent our days with the Peace Corps volunteer CS member. It was awesome!

Interests

Medicine, social justice, preparing and eating good food, movies, reading, yoga, biking, birdwatching, dancing (contra, waltz, tango, blues), friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing an ocean of white-collared swifts entering Sotano de las Golondrinas at dusk shortly before the Y2K new year.

Passing up the 306 steps to the Doi Suthep Wat on a misty day in northern Thailand.

Milford Sound.
