Hello! :)

My name is Danielli, I am Brazilian and I am currently living in California. It is my first time in USA!

I am a Portuguese for foreigners teacher and I got a Fulbright scholarship to teach Portuguese at Pitzer College. I have been living in California since August 2021 and I will stay just until June 2022 (unfortunately).

I love dancing, singing, acrobatics, yoga, Philosophy and a lot of other things! I am very talkative and full of energy! If you like to have deep conversations or try new things that are body challenging (I just started learning slackline now!) probably we will get along well!

I am vegan, feminist and a work in progress artist (I write my music and I am trying to learn how to sing it properly). Even though I love teaching my goal is to change my profession to work with music and dancing. My two biggest passions!

If you are into astrology, I am pisces of course! Haha! Actually to be more specific I am on the cusp between aquarius and pisces! (Ignore it if you don't like astrology, we can still be friends! :p)

I created this couchsurfig account long time ago (2010) fascinated about this incredible idea of creating such a great community of nice people open to meet other nice people around the world but I did not have the opportunity to really use it so I am really happy that finally my time has come now!

Intereses

I have a major in Portuguese and French (yes, I teach French too!) and I also studied Philosophy for a couple of years in my University in Brazil. If you are into Philosophy of mind, Applied Ethics, Philosophy of Neuroscience, Transhumanism, I love to talk and have discussions about those topics!

I can teach you Portuguese having a lot of fun for sure if you want to! I can share my views about the biggest differences about Brazilian culture and the culture in USA that I noticed in those couple of months living in California. I can also share my thoughts about Applied Ethics, Transhumanism, Futurism, Singularity, Open-source hardware movement, Regenerative cultures, etc.
