ABOUT ME
you're very welcome to surf this couch.
hoping to travel to germany and austria this fall if I can just get some some nickels to rub together.
Interested in making some new friends. would like to host someone if anyone sees this. will not kill you!
PHILOSOPHY
How about this: treat other people with kindness, dignity and respect, even if they have nothing to offer you. This is easier to write down than to live though.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
have a couch at my house ...
you are very welcome to stay here ... besonders Menchen aus DL
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed Scott's couch in Brooklyn and Amber/Mina's couch in Bronx.
Hosted a nice guy named Shawn not too long ago. Hosted a rad guy named George recently.
Stayed with an amazing host in Vancouver.
Surfed Nick's couch in The Mission, SF (thanks man!)
Hosted John Russell on his amazing cross-country bicycle journey to NYC.
Willing to host on short notice, group surfers, etc. Hoping to surf a couch for a little trip to des moines too.
CS made my short April '11 SF trip really great. I met a lot of cool nice people. Travelling alone is great but sometimes it gets lonely and for this reason (& others) this internet society is pretty special. Now, if we can just find a couch for May nyc trip ...
UPDATE: now all couchsurfers coming my way get to take a free spin on the Jazzy. offer good for as long as we have it in our office - inquire within!
FURTHER UPDATE: JAZZY has been sold :(
NEW UPDATE: Simon from Ingolstadt is an exchange student staying here so if you visit you are less likely to have a bed in your own room - but the couch and air mattress still available.
BUT NEW UPDATE: cat popped the air mattress, but the couch is always there.

Music, Movies, and Books
been watching deutsch movies lately - das leben der anderen - I love the Fatah Amin ones like ,auf der andere Seit' und ,im Juli'. I have almost run out of Deutschfilms on NetFlix.
last couple books read: Babbitt, East of Eden, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Guns Germs & Steel. I like to re-read the books they made us read in High School, like I really enjoyed 1984 again, and even Romeo & Juliet & the Misanthrope.
for music, the rock: AFI, Coheed, Jimmy Eat World, NFG, Weezer, 4 year Strong.
also love the softies: Elliot Smith, Ryan Adams, Sophie Hunger, Eels, Angus & Julia, etc. and party music too sure, hiphop, i like passion pit and ok go, love classic soul too: Temptations, Delphonics, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
arrived at ciampino rome airport at 9:05 am for flight to Frankfurt leaving at 9:30 am and just barely made the flight - as well as made a ton of enemies at the airport as i was cutting and weaving ... this must be a world record for an int'l flight -> but i don't recommend it.
study in fez morocco back when I was a baby in college. camel ride in sahara. hiking grand canyon in 2009. froze my ass off in Italy in March 2010. Halfway hot springs BC june.
