About Me

I am currently traveling and unavailable to host until I return home!

Hey, I am a 24 year old Canadian currently living in East London on a working holiday visa. I graduated from a Pre-Service Firefighting program in Canada and now traveling before I start my serious career hunt. I live with my girlfriend, Brooke, who is also a Canadian graduated as a social worker and works as a TA in London. We’re both caring people who do our best to help out in various situations.

Currently planning a backpacking trip around Europe before returning to Canada to return to school to become a Paramedic.

I love to keep busy, whether that’s playing sports, being outdoors, and exploring new places. I also like to meet new interesting people which ties into the ‘Why I’m on Couchsurfing’ part.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is the most important category.

When I first heard of Couchsurfing it was from a friend on a volunteer trip in Nicaragua. I thought it was an amazing idea, the best memories I have from my travels don’t come from selfies in front of landmarks and checking it off the list. The best part of traveling is getting a quick glimpse at someone else’s way of life. I remember my tour guide in Egypt and eating a Ramadan meal with him and my family at a lookout in Cairo. I remember the families I met in Nicaragua after they saw their new house. I remember the Vets I met on a Victory in Europe Trip and how they were able to level with a then 16-year-old.

That’s the true part of travel that changes you and broadens your view of the world and about the people around you.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite genre is rock music, any sub genre of rock I can usually get into. I am very open minded when it comes to music though. If it is created with passion and made well, I can appreciate it. I can listen to everything.

I like action movies that are based on actual events or have expert input. Movies like Sicario, or WW2 movies are my favorite. I also like well made comedies, Step Brothers is probably my favourite movie, I quoted that movie for most of my teens hahaha.

I don't read as many books as I should, I do read the news a lot however.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked as a firefighter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be more than happy to teach you about First-Aid, and other questions in that realm as that is what I went to College for.

I would like to learn about you, your home, and anything else your willing to teach. I'm not a great cook so maybe I can help cook your speciality?

I would love to swap travel stories and travel tips!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I get a lot of questions about traveling in Canada everywhere I go, that seems like something small I can share with my hosts.

I do enjoy taking photos! I have taken a few headshots for my professional friends who use them on linked in. Or if you want a gift for grandma or your parents I can just take a postcard photos for you!

Last but certainly not least I would be more than happy to share my flat with you if you are ever in London!
