About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make the world a better place and have fun doing it
ABOUT ME
Hi everybody! I'm excited and honored to be a member of Couchsurfing's board of directors. I love what Couchsurfing makes possible in the world. I grew up in New York City and split most of my time between San Francisco and New York. But I also travel a LOT and have lived in Europe and Asia too : )
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in kindness (but not always niceness!) And as the writer Johann Fichte said, "action, and action alone, determines your worth."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I serve on Couchsurfing's board of directors, and enjoy attending meetups and meeting and talking with Couchsurfers!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Meetups, meeting Couchsurfers, and serving on the Couchsurfing board of directors. Once upon a time in the 1990s, before Couchsurfing existed, I traveled around Russia and Central Asia staying with strangers in their homes and seeing the world through their eyes. Those experiences were some of the most meaningful in my life and have stayed with me until this day. Couchsurfing brings that same opportunity to millions of people all over the world in a far more powerful way than was possible before the service existed.
More recently, I've enjoyed getting to know many of the great Couchsurfing members -- from Couchsurfers to team members and volunteers!
