About Me
(Unable to host people until March or so- I will hopefully move to a new place then)
----
Hey, everyone, Jorge here- born and raised in Madrid although I have lived in other cities like Frankfurt, Berlin, and Barcelona.
My jokes are bad but I can still make people laugh easily. I consider myself open minded, open talking, respectful, and I want to enjoy this cycle of my life as much as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In addition to what I said above, I studied at the European School of Frankfurt, and the general vibe was great. Spent two years hanging out with people from almost every country... And in a way, having CS visitors brings that feeling back.
Also, I would like for anyone who visits this city to leave with a possitive impression. So whatever I can do to help (give advice, take people out to see things), I´m up for it.
I consider myself an easygoing host. As long as communication is fluid, I´m pretty much "hakuna matata" about anything- just ask me first.
I haven´t been a visitor yet. But if I do, I would try to be as respectful as possible, try not to be a burden and make my host happy to have me over.
I have hosted many different groups now. Most of the experiences have been very positive, I´ve made new connections, I got to see parts of the city that I didn´t know about... ad I´m pretty sure I´ve also made a friend or two!
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
I am quite the rocker-metalhead, but I can listen to anything that is done with passion and honesty. I can go from drum´n bass to reggae to classic guitar before going back for some good ol´Foo Fighters, for example.
Movies? Can´t pick one. I like horror films, comedies, action flicks, and in general stuff that makes you think and leaves a print.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Does skydiving count? If not, well, back in the day I had some big concerts, I got to play in front of +-800 people.
Teach, Learn, Share
My goal, so to speak, is to give visitors and friends an honest, complete view of Madrid. This means that, if you want to visit the usual landmarks, fine by me... BUT I can also show you parts of the city that most tourists usually don´t get to see! To put it in another way, I make sure that my visitors & friends experience Madrid just like I do. I am also more than happy to tell people about the history of the city, curiosities, social customs, etc...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Although I work 9 to 7, I can usually spare time in the afternoons to hang out with the visitors, suggest them places to see or even take them there myself if time allows it.
NOTE: After past events events, I decided that I will no longer host people below 20 years old, unless there are exceptional circumstances. Simply put, there is a minimum degree of maturity and responsibility that I expect from someone who may stay at my house for come days. Sorry about this.
