About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Seeing as much of the world as I can, and meeting as much interesting people on my way as possible
ABOUT ME
I am an adventurous woman who loves to travel, but hates big hotels and common tourist places. I love to get in contact with local people, experience their way of living and their cuisine. As I am a passionate photographer, I like beautiful scenery and faces.
I am mother of 2 grown up daughters, who love couchsurfing too. Together with my husband I travelled a lot, especially in Africa. Since my husband died in an accident 3 years ago, I try to get my life back together and I am looking for a new way of travelling, so my daughter told me about Couchsurfing, and I think that this is an excellent way to travel if you're alone. Meeting people and making new friends in the places I still wanna see. And maybe in my hometown too. I have room enough for travellers, so I hope to welcome them at my place.
PHILOSOPHY
I like to be there for my friends and family, because no one can be alone. There will always come a moment in life, that you need someone. So if you never give, don't expect to get something back. It's a two-way. So respect and friendship is for me the most important thing in life
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So Jenja, Wilvie, Tiff and all the others, thanks for your friendship. Hope to see you folks again and hope to meet more fantastic people in the future. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A great personal achievement was to hike the Grand Canyon at the age of 40, with 5 friends all at least 15 years younger, And I did it.
Another thing is my participation in a touristic humanitarian rally for 2cv cars, starting Brussels and going to Benin, a trip of more than 9000 km, mostly offroad, trough wonderful countries as Morocco, Mauretania, Mali, Burkina, Togo and Benin. Visiting small villages and schools were I donated schoolsupplies which I gattered in Belgium. To see the happy faces of those kids, was the most wonderful experience one can get.

I can teach you how to make great cakes and cookies, and I hope I can get some advice about traveling alone.
