Hailing originally from small-town rural Maine, I moved to Worcester, Massachusetts when I was 18 to attend Clark University. After graduating in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Theater Arts, I worked as a sous chef at a bakery and cafe in Worcester called BirchTree Bread Company for about two years. I am a kind, open-minded, and empathetic person, and I try not to take myself too seriously. I believe one of the most important things we can do in this life is to spread love and show respect to all whom we meet. I've always felt a great curiosity for the unknown and a desire to explore new places and meet new people. Now, in the Spring of 2019 I am embarking on an extended cross-country tour of the United States via motorcycle (a 1983 Suzuki GS450), the realization of a long awaited dream.

In April, 2019 I am beginning an extended cross-country tour of the United States via motorcycle (a 1983 Suzuki GS450). I created a Couchsurfing account in hopes of using this service to connect with people throughout my travels and find places to stay when needed. I've heard about Couchsurfing from a lot of my friends over the years, but never used it myself until now. I will be traveling light, often camping, and I look forward to being able to use this resource to find welcoming people to stay with along my travels!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Whenever I am asked my favorite movie, book, or music I can never seem to isolate one specific favorite in any category, there is too much great art out there to choose from! My favorite musical genres are folk, blues, rock, alternative rock, indie rock, punk, and any other genres of good music. Where film and TV are concerned I usually gravitate towards science-fiction, magical realism, and dark comedies. In the realm of literature I am not picky, but relate mostly to full-length plays, novels, and philosophical texts.

In comparison with most human accomplishments I would consider amazing, I think I've lived a very humble and simplistic life. Perhaps one of the more interesting things I've done is compile an extensive time-capsule about the lives of my family and friends, which is now buried somewhere in rural Maine, waiting to be opened in the year 2054.

As I will be traveling on a motorcycle, I will be carrying only the essentials I need to survive. Therefore, I feel the most valuable thing I can offer to share with hosts is simply a friendly presence and open-minded conversation. I very much look forward to exploring new places around the USA, meeting new people, and sharing ideas and perspectives. I will be a very clean and cooperative tenant to anyone willing to house me!
