About Me

Hi! I’m 24 and a proud fifth-generation Idahoan who graduated from grad school about a year ago. Since then, I’ve been leaning hard into my adventurer era — 2025 has taken me all over my home state, across a few others, and even out of the country for the first time (Mexico!) with my best friend. Turns out, I really love exploring new places and saying yes to new experiences.

I’m pretty chill, organized, and easy to connect with. I love getting to know a place through both its daytime and nighttime energy — whether that’s wandering through local museums, hunting down indie bookstores, or (my favorite) checking out plant shops 🌱. If there’s a good coffee spot nearby, I’m probably already there.

Music is a big part of my life. I’m really into concerts and am currently exploring new genres — recently discovering that I love EDM. Always down for live music, a show, or a night out experiencing the local scene.

By day, I work in a professional role at a nonpartisan nonprofit, and I’m also an adjunct professor at a community college in Idaho. I love meaningful conversations, learning from other people’s experiences, and building genuine connections along the way.

I’m hoping to keep the momentum of exploration going — traveling, meeting new people, and seeing the world through local perspectives. If you’re up for good conversations, shared adventures, or showing someone your favorite hidden spots, we’ll probably get along great.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to connect with people beyond Boise and explore what it looks like to build community both in and out of state. I think now more than ever, it’s important to meet new people, share stories and lived experiences, and form meaningful connections wherever you can.

Couchsurfing makes travel more accessible and cost-friendly, but even more than that, it creates space for real connection. I love the idea of traveling in a way that allows me to make friends, learn from locals, and feel grounded in the communities I’m visiting rather than just passing through.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is all over the place in the best way — I really get into early 2010s music, Johnny Cash, current female rap, and today’s pop, but I’m always exploring new sounds and have recently been enjoying EDM too. Movies-wise, I love early 2010s films that give me that nostalgic, childhood-comfort feeling, and I’m always on the hunt for a good movie recommendation — especially a solid comedy. I’m also getting back into reading fiction and really enjoying fantasy, magic, and imaginative worlds, even if I don’t have a single favorite book yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This past year, I’ve been intentionally crossing things off my “feel like a kid again” list — buying my first bike as an adult, rediscovering my love of reading, and spending time exploring national parks. I also traveled out of the country for the first time and, just as importantly, focused on growing myself and forming deeper, long-term friendships. It’s been a year of curiosity, play, and connection, and one I’m really grateful for.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love thoughtful conversation and can happily talk about current events, policy, and what’s happening in the world — as much or as little as you’d like. I also really enjoy sharing my love of gardening and houseplants, and could talk endlessly about plant care, plant finds, and my ever-growing collection of random knick-knacks.

Just as much as I enjoy sharing, I love learning from the people and places I visit. I’m genuinely interested in the communities I stay in and enjoy learning about local history, neighborhood stories, and the context behind local events. Understanding a place through the people who call it home is one of my favorite parts of traveling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I bring a genuine sense of friendship and community wherever I go. I really value connecting with people who enjoy sharing their home, their stories, and what makes their place special. I love learning from others, having thoughtful conversations, and exchanging perspectives — meaningful, intellectual conversations are something I truly enjoy and consider a strength of mine.

I also love cooking and baking and am always happy to share a meal, help out in the kitchen, or swap recipes. Food is one of my favorite ways to build connection and community.

More than anything, I bring curiosity, kindness, and appreciation for the people who open their homes.
