I am an AmeriCorps member living o Cape Cod. I thoroughly enjoy hiking, canoeing, biking, and any outdoor activity. Travel and food are both passions of mine, along with history. Museums, old home tours, ghost walks, and other history tours are my preferred ways to learn a new area and take in the culture. My absolute favorite pastime would be what I call “picking,” which is going to estate sales, auctions, thrift stores, and the occasional trash pile or dilapidated building and salvaging old or useful treasures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As an AmeriCorps member, money is tight, so to avoid sacrificing travel, I thought I'd give this a try. Also, I will be flying home on occasion and might need guidance from the locals who are familiar with the airports in various cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a wide variety of music, especially old records. I'm constantly picking up old records while thrifting, but I typically set my price limit at $1.00. I can sing every word to all of Shania Twain's songs :p. I like to watch classic movies and typically prefer films of the feel good variety. I enjoy reading autobiographies, but do not read as often as I should/would like to.
