ABOUT ME

I love the outdoors and being active, but at the same time, you sometimes can't beat a day in watching movies or playing video games all day. I'm really not picky about much, I'll eat just about anything, I enjoy doing just about anything, like all kinds of music and love hearing all kinds of different stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted just a couple of times, and am starting to host people, but I'm looking forward to becoming a bigger member of the community!
I want to meet people and share stories. I want to experience things I've never tried before with people I've never met. The farther you put yourself into the unknown, the more opportunities you have to learn and grow.

I want to have people share my space and let them into my life while they stay with me. It's my hope that this may be reciprocated and that I will be let into others' lives while staying with them!

What is one of your favourite outdoor experiences? Whether it was crazy, peaceful, beautiful, serene or whatever! I would love to hear about it and it'll maybe give us a good conversation starter if we meet up!

兴趣

The outdoors (all of it!), wood and metal working, animals, delicious food, loud music and dancing, video games, hunting and fishing, automotives, driving, good movies etc. Again, I'm not picky, I can have fun doing just about anything!

As far as music goes, I'm not all too particular. I listen to and enjoy just about everything, but my preferences are generally towards upbeat, high energy music, whether it's metal, EDM, folk, country or anything in between. By no means do I not appreciate some slow jams and easy listening from time to time though; I like it all!
Movies? My favourites are really good dramas or thrillers. When I'm saying thrillers, I don't mean horror/gore movies, but the ones that really get into your mind and start messing with things, stuff like the Blair Witch Project or Shutter Island. Some intense dramas are always appreciated too. Some of my favourites are Brothers and Les Miserables to name a couple. Stuff like Lord of The Rings, Star Wars and Harry Potter definitely make my top movie picks as well!
I'm not a huge reader, and when I do, it's not usually stories. I tend to read manuals, field guides and that sort of thing (lame, I know...). Haha some of my best reads have been The Backpacker's Field Manual and Modern Automotive Technology.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A few years ago, I paddled the Mackenzie River in the North West Territories, Canada for two months and covered over 1,700kms. It was definitely and amazing and memorable time in my life. I've got plenty of stories from the trip and would love to share them with you!

Pretty much my life motto. I enjoy being happy (duh), so I'm going to do everything I can to keep myself that way!

Talking and Listening. It's simple enough. I love telling people my stories and getting a chance to share my values and experiences with them. But I know not everybody wants to just listen to me yammer on all day! Hearing your stories and what you've done is just as important to me. There's little I like more than to hear about the lives of others and try and learn and understand something new.

I'm a very responsible and respectful Surfer. Whether you want to chat the night away and stay awake with the stars, or you head to sleep at 7:00pm, I'm your guest and I'll be happy either way! I won't leave a mess, and am more than happy to help with cooking, cleaning, dishes, etc.
A place to stay for a bit is all I'm looking for, anything more than that is bonus!
