About Me

Hi, I’m Daniel – a curious traveler on two wheels, always choosing the slow and honest road over the fast one.

After years of running my own wine shops and a wine bar back home in Germany, I decided to leave everything behind. Not because it wasn’t good — but because I wanted something different. Less routine, more raw experience. Less comfort, more discovery.

Travel, for me, means diving deep into places and people. In the past, I’ve worked abroad in different roles — running a small hostel in Mexico, working as a winemaker on a vineyard in Chile, and supporting a hotel in Indonesia. Each experience taught me something about culture, hospitality, and the quiet details that shape everyday life.

Recently, I completed a long overland motorcycle journey from Germany through the Balkans, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. My motorcycle is currently in Dubai, waiting for the next chapter.

This year, I fulfilled a long-held dream: I was at the Rally Dakar in Saudi Arabia. Standing there, feeling the atmosphere, the engines, the scale of it all — it was one of those moments that remind you why you chase dreams in the first place.

I love discovering local food — especially the kind you only find far from tourist routes. Small street kitchens, family recipes, markets full of smells and noise. Food connects people faster than words.

Music, movement, and the feeling of freedom on an open road are what drive me. But I also value the quiet — camping alone under a wide sky, somewhere between nowhere and the next horizon.

I’m always curious about the stories behind people’s lives — what shapes them, what moves them, what they dream about.

Maybe we’ll meet somewhere along the road.
