I am on a bit of an extended post grad grand tour and would love to gain a certain depth that the frivolities of a hostel cannot give. I make short films - sometimes- and I used to be the vocalist and lyricist of a punk band. My code word- tearman. I’m also an aspiring polyglot- I know a couple hundred words each in Arabic, Turkish, Greek, German, Italian, and Spanish

I’m looking to make local connections instead of just floating through hostels with a bunch of other travelers. I also hope this can be flexible- my current plans and last job I had lined up are out the window due to the current global conflict

I’m a big listener of Stereolab, Radiohead, and Weezer. Been getting into Jazz. My favorite books are Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut and Madness & Civilization by Michel Foucault. I find things to appreciate about every movie but most watch ones from the 70’s

Getting stuck in Iraq due to the war and navigating north alone- getting detained at every stop. Also one time I was in a play but for one performance I had a gig with my punk band so I found a guy on Craigslist and paid him 20$ to practice my part (ensemble) and show up as my “understudy.” I was also president of my primary school and was the first to be impeached

I can teach French and English- and love learning languages- I know quite a few words in quite a few others and can share those too

I can cook! And teach you how. I’ve been told I make a great Chicken Tikka and my guacamole is well received. I also am very clean- often doing a bit more than my share/what is asked when it’s time to go. I also can video edit if that comes up
