About Me
CURRENT MISSION
If you're looking for seasonal work in the Humboldt area contact me.
Celebrating the beauty and magic of life. And surviving. That too.
ABOUT ME
Horticulturist, Ecologist and Teacher by formal training - Mycologist, naturalist, woodworker and aspiring shaman by personal intrigue. I have always been captivated by the diversity and magic on Earth. Spirit and the natural world are intimately intertwined, and living in harmony with both is of utmost importance to me. I am particularly gifted with the biological realm and consider myself a naturalist - working with rare ornamental and medicinal plants, growing my own natural medicines from medicinal mushrooms, hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, climbing - pretty much everything nature oriented. I have a deep spiritual respect and love for the earth, and enjoy nothing more than connecting with nature and people who feel the same. I have an insatiable desire for knowledge and learning new things, and passing on to others what I am passionate about - Im a typical Sagittarius in many ways. Very grounded, normal dude just trying to find his way in the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Love and respect is the greatest religion. Whatever you are in life, be a good one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have couch surfed in Europe and had amazing experiences. Returning the favor opens up the door to more amazing experiences without having to travel. Viva la couch!
Live up in the redwoods in a small wood cabin a couple miles from Arcata. It's nice, you'll like it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have surfed a bit abroad, but I primarily host the wide array of beautiful people that pass through Arcata.
Interests
I love meeting new people, hiking, biking, swimming, wood working, gardening/growing plants, shamanism, natural medicine and holistic healing, permaculture, sustainability, mycology, meditation, spirituality, paganism, visionary art, laughing, having a good time and spreading love and gratitude. Pretty much anything out of the ordinary is of interest to me as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
Don't spend much time watching movies or reading, but anything having to do with spirituality, shamanism, nature/plants, documentaries, eye-opening or mind-expanding topics is great. Too little time to sit and read for fun, but I do read a lot of non-fiction - unquenchable thirst for knowledge! Oh I do love Avatar though...
Love music that comes from the heart and inspires the soul. Native American flute is one of my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many to list. If you seek the unusual, you will find the incredible. Been many amazing places, met many amazing beings. Just ask.
Teach, Learn, Share
Botany, Mycology, Wood working, the strange, magic, and unusual. Show me something I have never seen and I'll return the favor!
