Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a nomad. I have a place and everything, but I tend not to stay in one place for very long. I've got friends all over the place, but it's nice to expand that network, and eventually - when I'm ready - offer a place for people to stay.

Interests

Wide and varied. I'm a thinker, so intellectual pursuits are something of a pastime. I like running obstacle races, MTB (but I'm terrible at it), and games. All games. Board games, video games, outdoor games. Games are the best.

I don't like this question. My favorite of anything varies wildly. Up there, though, are:

Music: Led Zeppelin, Foxy Shazam
Movies: Dead Poets Society, How to Train Your Dragon, Star Wars (IV-VI, duh)
Books: Life of Meaning, Why does the world exist?, Rainbow Six (total curveball), Catch-22, most things Ken Follett and Pat Conroy have written.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent a couple weeks working at a trauma hospital in Port-au-Prince. Try to go once a year.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As much or as little as they want! I'm always up for swapping travel stories, and I find that there's little better than conversation over a few drinks and a card game. I'm a bit of a handyman as well, so that leak you haven't gotten around to or the switch that keeps acting funny might just be fixed by the time I leave.
