Hi! I’m Colin. :-) Currently I live in southern Maryland, a semi-rural place that most people don’t realize even exists on the map unless they’ve been here...and although there aren’t too many reasons to come here (business travel?), my home is open to serious requests from fellow couch surfers, provided I am available. I’ve lived in North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Maryland, and Virginia. I love to do pretty much everything...beach, mountains, cities, country, and all kids of arts and hobbies. I can be very physically active, and when traveling I tend to seek out either physical activity (trail running, hiking, surfing, beach, swimming), or cultural events such as theater/comedy shows and group classes. (I especially love sailing with a crew because that’s both at the same time.) I also love to connect with people and help others grow in a significant way, which I believe is leading me to a career, or at least life-long hobby, in some sort of coaching or healing work. I am taking this year to explore that while also exploring the country a little, and attempting to move my primary job to fully or mostly-remote status. If you want to stay with me, then I can offer a private room with pull-out couch, and semi-private bathroom. (You’ll share the bathroom with any other guests I have, but if I approve you then I most likely won’t have any other guests for more than an hour or two during the day.) I gladly accept interior design tips, dish washing, and your songs on the guitar, keyboard, and/or voice. Huge bonus points if you want to play music together! If I’m staying with you, then I can offer dishwashing, cooking, and some songs on the guitar if you have one.

Also I really actually live in a town called California, Maryland. It’s just south of Hollywood, Maryland. Silly names for towns. They are near Lexington Park, MD (closest town without a silly name). That has confused more than one person, so I thought I’d clarify here!

Ran on foot from Pennsylvania to West Virginia in one day with a friend. (42 miles ending with rooftop beer and bar food in Harpers Ferry, WV!)
