Hi everyone! After a transformative nine months in Europe I have returned to Canada and over the past few weeks I have been backpacking and camping and reconnecting with friends and family. Presently I am helping operate a small cafe at a music school near Ottawa, although I am seeking more activity and an opportunity to work outdoors and be close to nature. I am good with children and I honour their experience and their sense of wonder and joy. I have many nieces and nephews and they teach me something new everytime I see them. It's my dream to someday build a self-sustaining community of earthen homes wherein the people live in harmony and balance with the Earth and whose design is inspired by the designs of nature! Along the way I have learned about ancient cultures and alternative societies as well as learning about building techniques and home renovation. I have also worked as a chef's assistant and love preparing healthy, delicious food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly I am seeking volunteer opportunities, working outdoors on organic farms and wilderness tourism, however some dear friends of mine live in Toronto with their two children in a rather small shared apartment and I am seeking a place in the city where I can stay for a few nights so that I will be able to visit them from time to time.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many! Music; Classical, classic rock, reggae, smooth jazz, psychill/psydub/electronica, world music, mantras... Movies: I love old film noir and modern sci-fi especially. Books, Tolkien is at the top of the list, Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion. There are many. I love reading!
