Overview
About Me
I'm an early-30's artistic computer geek. Aquarius star sign and I fit the stereotype. A bit unusual and still trying to find my path in life.
I would like to travel the world, but I also like the comforts of home.
I don't have any good photos!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I originally signed up when I was thinking of going traveling this summer (2015)... In the end I was too worried about money, and ended up getting a job. Maybe next year! In the meantime, I may be able to host the occasional traveler, bearing in mind that I live in a shared house with other housemates and there is only a couple of couches to offer.
I have also enjoyed going to the local couchsurfer meetup and hearing other people's stories :)
Interests
Creativity, nature, technology (especially green technology), history, politics, sight-seeing, drinking and talking.
Retro-gaming! I still play Sonic the Hedgehog.
I'm fascinated by the whole story of how everything in the universe came to be the way it is, and how life evolved, how different human cultures developed and influenced each other over the centuries. I can happily sit and read wikipedia articles for hours.
I wonder if some day I'll end up living on an eco-farm or eco-village, somewhere self sufficient and free from the capitalist system. That would be the dream. But with internet access of course :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of ambient, atmospheric music while working on a computer, when I don't want to be distracted by lyrics.
Jonsi / Sigur Ros is probably the band that has influenced me the most. I'm also a big Muse fan.
I loved the new Mad Max movie. I think I'm going to love the new Star Wars.
My favourite book may be the Tao Te Ching.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once went to a party dressed as a starwars stormtrooper (made of cardboard).
