Overview
About Me
I'm a 23 year old guy from Scotland currently taking a year out after finishing university. I am going to be travelling around Spain during October, hoping to learn some Spanish and explore a few Spanish cities on my BMX bike!
I'll then be going North to Calais to volunteer with a refugee charity and will hopefully stop off at a couple French cities on my way!
I used couchsurfing a lot when I travelled before university and am excited to use it again and meet some new people ☺️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel on a fairly tight budget and meet local people along the way!
Interests
I love to be in the outdoors. I love to ride bikes of all forms, but currently mostly ride my BMX bike, either at skateparks or in the streets. I also love surfing, hiking and skiing!
I studied history at university and really enjoy talking to people from different places and backgrounds about the history of where they live ☺️

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a wide variety of music, books etc.
Recently I've been listening to a lot of Scottish traditional music but enjoy almost anything and like to be introduced to new stuff!
I like to read books about history and politics, and also enjoy sci-fi and fantasy novels.
In terms of films and TV I enjoy a big variety, but especially enjoy comedy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In my year out before university I rode my bike from my home in the highlands of Scotland to Istanbul. It was a pretty amazing experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
Many people I've met while travelling are interested in going to Scotland, I've lived in Scotland all my life and can give many tips on where to go/ what to do etc.
I would love to practice Spanish with people, I don't speak much but the main goal of my trip is to learn as much as I can!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook you a meal!
