About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To embrace my long awaited dream to travel Europe, see the world and meet new people

ABOUT ME

I always try to get the most out of life and embrace new experiences. I see myself as pretty relaxed and easy going and I'm interested to meet new people through couchsurfing. I think travel is not only about experiencing new places but meeting new people along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a bit of an environmentalist I believe we should try and live lightly on the planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm planning an adventure around the UK and Europe so I'm looking to couch surf for a while but I'll be happy to host when I return to Canberra.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie. I had a lovely first experience couch surfing in France and I'm keen to meet more lovely people as I travel through England.

Interests

I enjoy the out doors, bushwalking and hiking and experiencing natural environments. I'm also keenly interested in history particularly ancient and European history. I also enjoy reading and relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine.

I'm getting back into photography again. I find the European natural environment very picturesque. It's so different from back home I love wandering around just taking photos.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love British TV. Particularly Doctor Who and most British comedy. I also enjoy reading. I've just got a Kindle which is great for traveling and I'm loading it up with books. My current mission is to try and read a local classic from every part of England I visit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Back home I has the privilege of being welcomed into an indigenous community by the traditional owners. I was able to sit and listen to their stories and learn about their relationship with country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a librarian so you can ask me any question and I'll help you find the answer, it's what we do :)
