To experience as much of life as I can, while sharing and gaining musical knowledge.

ABOUT ME

I am a 27 Year old Canadian, born and raised in a small town in Ontario. I like to think of myself as an open minded, and free-spirited person, who is welcoming and engaging. I like to create deep, and lasting relationships with people who open up to me, as I have come to learn that we are all more connected than we initially think.
I try to stay active and play sports, as being stagnant will cause boredom, and boredom is the friend of depression.
I am always willing to learn and engage myself in ways that I previously was unaware of. Never choose to not do or try something, otherwise I'd never learn what life is!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to figure out the patterns. To figure out if the constellations are just consolations, or if the patterns in the sky are merely patterns behind our eyes.

I like to open my mind to anything that will broaden my perspective, always living with an open mind. Never stating that I "KNOW" anything with any amount of egotistical confidence. Mainly just being a non abrasive, enjoyable person to be around.

I will participate by bringing laugher, happiness and fun to the table!
My somewhat goofy attitude typically evokes childlike appreciation for the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the good fortune of being able to meet some fantastic hosts in Japan a few years ago. The experience was amazing, getting the inside scoop into the local culture was fantastic! I tend to keep my travel plans flexible, and being able to hangout and experience the local vibe is ideal.

Intereses

I am a fan of mostly all things, but I try to avoid being fanatic. My main interest is music and instruments, they are my outlet for creativity and enjoyment in my downtime. I am a fan of most artwork, and books, especially the combination of the two mediums. Any animes, or graphic novels are certainly high up there in my interests, depending on the level of symbolism the book has to offer.
I have studied English language and literature for about 4 years at Brock University in Canada, and am relatively well versed in literature, from classics to more modern works.

I don't want to spend too much time on this, so I definitely can't fill out ALL of my musical tastes haha.

Some huge ones: jerry reed, the beatles, Mac demarco, unknown mortal orchestra, electric light orchestra, badbadnotgood, darwin deez, bear hands, watsky... just a couple ones that have been on my itunes recently.

for books, i'll read just about anything that is interesting. Some favourites are: watchmen, thomas moore's "utopia", ambrose o'callaghan's "such is my beloved".

I have travelled through a decent amount of America and Japan. Have played a couple of large shows for people.
currently recording my first album.

I would pass along any musical knowledge I have available.. I am not "formally" taught in music, but i can show some chords and songs I've written to whomever is willing to listen.

Otherwise, I will share my perspective and knowledge on english and what I have so far experienced of life.
