About Me

Hi! I'm a 25 years old traveler from Belgium, currently preparing a several-months trip in South America! I'll arrive in Santiago de Chile on the 30th of January2019 and from there, I will be moving a lot, mainly in Patagonia. This travel is a dream becoming true! I completed my studies in September 2018 , and so now I'm really eager to discover new cultures, and meet new people, and to start a new adventure!
I would say that in general, I'm very easy-going person, relax, sociable and curious. I like challenges, and every little thing that can feed my thoughts. I'm not hard to live with, I think, I can be very discreet when need be but I also enjoy company as much as possible, especially since I will be travelling alone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people! As I already wrote, I will be traveling on my own, so I will be in need of new friends ;-) Plus, I really don't want my travel to just be a succession of hostel and nice touristic places. I want to really grasp a bit of the culture of the places I visit, a bit of life,... And couchsurfing really is a good way to meet locals. If I'm being honest, there is also, of course, the financial elements that make couchsurfing a good plan, but in general I'm really interested in the kind of relationship that is not based on money (that's why I do volunteer jobs, for example). The exchange it creates, and the gratitude, may ask more energy but I think it just makes the all principle of traveling more interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many!
I would say movies of Christopher Nolan and David Fincher, I also love "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "Mr Nobody", ... Cinema is one of my greatest interest.

And as a good traveler, I would say one of my favourite book is "On the Road", by Jack Kerouac. But once again, there many other books I like.

As far as music is concerned, my tastes are still pretty eclectic: rock, pop, indie, bit also latín music, and more commercial music. Depends on my mood :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sit on a crocodile in Ghana!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My good mood! :-)
And in a more practical way, my skills in languages (French, mostly), in communication (I will be traveling with my camera and a sound recorder!), a list of good movies or series to see, of good books to read... And I will be happy to share around all that!
