About Me

ABOUT ME

I have recently moved back to Virginia to pursue graduate school in Architecture after living in London. I'm originally from Washington DC, and spent 4 years in Chicago for undergrad. My ideal activity is an engaging conversation with a friend over a coffee or beer with a record playing in the back. I consider myself very open minded and value new experiences and ideas just as highly as things I already enjoy and am comfortable with.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone has their own personal values which should be respected. I try to live consistently and thoughtfully and avoid judging others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to use couch surfing as a way to better understand the place I am visiting. In my experience, hosts have always been eager to share their perspective, which is an invaluable thing. Likewise, I offer the same when there is an opportunity to host a traveller.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the opportunity to stay with many amazing hosts who have taught me much. I have hosted one guest in the past and hope to host many more. Every experience I have had couch surfing has been a positive one. Meeting new friends is such a huge part of traveling, and this service makes it easy and efficient so I'm excited take more advantage of it.

Interests

I enjoy going to gigs, exploring new places, watching movies, reading, or simply loitering. Any activity that can be enjoyed outside is enough for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

There is too much to list at once, so I will add to this in time. Architecture and theory is the focus of my study, so I am naturally drawn to arts of this nature, though my interests are broad and seemingly indiscriminate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding on the back of a motorcycle in rural Ghana as the sun was setting on a beautiful day is a memory that will remain vivid for me.

Additionally, crossing the Italian-Slovene border on foot via mountain summit was an unforgettable experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am completely willing to listen and learn from anyone and will do my best to offer wisdom of my own.
