ABOUT ME

I'm the kind of person who loves to travel and see the world (big surprise on couchsurfing, right?). When I was growing up we had exchange students from Asia stay with us and ever since childhood, I've been fascinated with Asian countries and culture. I studied Asian Studies in college and when I graduated I realized that there wasn't much work in the US at the moment, so I moved abroad. I taught English in Shanghai for a year and then moved to Taiwan, where I've been teaching for a year and a half. I've traveled to many Asian countries, but I still have a lot left to see! With a life abroad, how could I not be having a great time? :)

PHILOSOPHY

Live life for experiences. Money and things can always be lost, but experiences are something that can become a part of you and change you forever!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My main participation has been allowing people to stay in my apartment (through roommates' couchsurfing profiles), but I've created my own and I'm starting to get more and more involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I live in a huge apartment with a lot of roommates in Taipei, so we have couch surfers a lot. There is always an extra mattress and couch around. My roommates have always used their accounts, so I've never set up my own until now. I'm hoping to make a lot of new friends!

Interests

I like to learn languages and see new places. I also love to practice kung fu. There are incredible opportunities to learn martial arts in Asia! I like to play video games in my free time, too.
