ABOUT ME

I feel like we're all just a collection of different things - so here's some that make up me:

I'm a full-time student @ Lakehead University in Thunder Bay doing my Honors BA in Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Tourism (double specialization in Parks and Northern Studies) with a concurrent Bachelor of Ed for I/S w/ a second teachable in Geography. It's a bit crazy, I know - but that's my life.

I have a small condo. here in town where I live with my dog Charlie. Love dogs, but I'm not the kind to personify everything they do. That's just strange. Oh, should say, he's half Golden half miniature-poodle.

I'm an eco-minded guy and proud vegan (but not pushy - we are who we are).

Some may say I have a caffeine addition but I disagree - I could stop at anytime, I just don't want to ! lol Organic Bananna Cream completes my life. Kickinghorse and Kona are my two new loves.

Despite my Outdoor Rec. direction I'm more into the alternative spots like skateboarding, longboarding, BMX, wakeskating, skiing (park and powder) and mountain biking (slopestyle and DH), and I've also been working on slacklining.

I love music. Taking the long-track on learning the guitar and harmonica, but have been known to play around on just about anything.

Interior decor is a bit of a hobby. I'm always dreaming up little projects to keep my mind occupied.

Love cars. Love driving. Wishing I could get into rally-racing. Hopefully the Newfound Targa some day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I back-packed my way across Eastern / North-Central BC this past reading week. Looking to do it again, and maybe head south to some sun and waves for surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music = Preferences are something chill. Current likes are the Phoenix.

Movies = Summer. Miami Vice. BMX films like Stoked on Being Pumped or Electronical. Mountain bike films like The Collective are always a good watch. Ski films like Such Is Life, and any Warren Miller production. And documentaries like Addicted to Plastic, Sicko, and The Corporation.

Books = I don't often read for pleasure, but I just read Rachel Carson's Silent Spring and currently working on Al Gore's Earth in the Balance: Ecology and the Human Spirit

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach. I'm a decent cook and would be more than happy to show you a few vegan recipes. Or if you're interested in any of the above sports, we could do that too.

Learn. Anything to do with acoustic guitar.
