Overview
About Me
I am a University Student studying Environmental Science and Energy policy. During the summers I do environmental education and restoration work in National Parks. While outdoors sports like mountain biking, sailing, and skiing take up most of my free time I love exploring cities (especially their restaurants!) as well. I'm as game to hike up a mountain as I am to explore a city. Looking foreword to meeting other travelers to explore with and exchange info on our favorite places!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm hoping to meet locals who can show me their favorite spots where they live as well as travelers to share in the adventure!
Interests
My parents said when I was a baby there was never a food I didn't like. I like to think I've retained this approach to life. I'll try (and have tried) anything once! From bungy jumping to museum going i'm interested in cultural and aesthetic experiences in whatever form they're available to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a pretty wide range of music and the best way i can think of to describe my tastes is to list some artists:
Ibeyi, The Black Keys, Gregory Allan Isokov, Kendrick Lamar, Hozier, Florence and the Machine, and Dr. Dog to name a few.
I'd say movies are an even split between documentaries, action sports movies, and classics.
I love books: Books Books Books, Recently have been reading poetry by Gary Snyder and books by Dennis Lehane.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've spent the night in the Fire Lookout on top of Three Fingers Peak in Washington. It was probably the most amazing place I've ever been.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be more than happy to go on backpacking (e.g. trekking) trips with people with little to no experience. I've taken kids on backcountry trips as part of my job the last few summers.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love hearing others perspectives and experiences on world issues, life, and travel and am more than happy to share my own. I'm also totally willing to help clean a little or alternatively garden or work on a home project.
