About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a 24 year old recent college graduate starting my professional life with AmeriCorps. I love meeting new people which is what brought me to Couch Surfing. When I am not working, I enjoy watching movies, playing guitar, cycling, cooking, and going to drag shows.
I would consider myself to be pretty easy going; I think I can be friends with just about anyone that is willing to show me courtesy and respect.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to be a host to anyone visiting Pittsburgh that is open to exploring new areas of the city. I would never take anyone to a chain restaurant or to a touristy area, but instead to see local music, go to a gallery crawl, or check out a dive bar after eating dinner at a cafe. I would love for anyone visiting and staying with me to be open to exploring a bit, instead of just crashing on the couch and leaving in the morning.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I took a 2 week long road trip in the summer of 2010 and discovered couch surfing when spending money on hotels wasn't an option. Also, sleeping in the car proved to be very uncomfortable and we ended up getting bit by more mosquitos than I thought could exist in one place.
We met two separate groups of people and both were so incredible that I hope to be as amazing of a host to anyone planning to visit Pittsburgh.
Interests
Some things I like:
Lattes, acoustic music, dogs, parrots, accents, drag queens, tattoos, documentaries, biking instead of driving, singalongs, indie movie theaters, vintage things, ugly antique paintings, and olives.
Some things I dislike:
Arrogance, moldy food, snakes, yelling, ignorance, paper cuts, being hot, traffic, snow storms, and passive aggressiveness.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy most indie music. That's about as detailed as I can get.
Psychological thrillers are my movie genre of choice, though I also really love a good zombie movie (not the slicing and dicing kind, but the "Holy shit, how are we going to survive this?" kind).
I read mostly graphic novels, with some Chuck Palahniuk on the side.
