Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Step out of my comfort zone.
ABOUT ME
I studied history and science but ended up working in the IT industry. I spent 6 years in Silicon Valley and moved back home to Melbourne, but got the Wanderlust again and went to live in Shanghai for a short while.
I'm 35 years old, single, and work for myself, so I can often carve out a little time to show a visitor around.
Update: 5 years later, I'm married and have since spent 4 years working in professional politics. I'm now moving on and have started a scientific PhD.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not into the money thing. I make a good living so it is enough for me to try and make a difference in the community, and to get to know our world a little better through travel and cultural exchange.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just want to offer my hospitality and expand my circle of friends around the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted a few visitors in Melbourne so far. Never surfed myself, so I have some karma in the bank.
Interests
I have many passions - I divide what spare time I have between language learning, political activism and work for a geeky non-profit.

- traveling

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a 3-day wedding in India. The ceremony was at midnight, as the astrologer said this was the most auspicious time.
