About Me

I'm a musician, photographer, crafter, intentional community member. I love nature but we live in the city, thankfully one full of nature. I love riding my bike. I'm a pretty laid-back person, a better listener than talker though sometimes the caffeine gets me going. I like interacting with people from all different backgrounds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My husband and I both work with an organization that is always hosting visitors from all over the world, so the idea of finding this elsewhere is natural for us. And hotels are just sterile and expensive!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Woven Hand, Altan, Lunasa, Josh Garrels, 77s, Julie Fowlis, The Weepies, First Aid Kit, Junius Meyvant, Shearwater, BRMC, Lisa Hannigan.....

Movies: Moonrise Kingdom (most Wes Andersons), many Cohen Bros movies, Waking Ned Devine, Secret of Roan Inish, Chocolat, Whale Rider, King's Speech, Oceans 11-12-13, Blackkklansman

Books: Biographies and autobiographies, but I'm just not a big reader, so what I'm usually reading is like a devotional book or straight outa the Bible, or books in the Irish language like short stories and small novels, and Irish text books. Oh and I loved Kon Tiki. And Lord of the Rings trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While in an indie folk rock band between gigs: left Connecticut and did site-seeing in both New York City and Washington D.C., went boogie boarding in Virginia Beach then ate seafood - all within 24 hours!

Countries I’ve Visited

Countries I’ve Lived In
