Hello, fellow travelers and vagabonds. My name is Colleen and I have been living in Boston for about two years now. I am originally from Maine, and went to college out in Western Mass. I feel a need to be around the culture and social scene of the city but I definitely miss small town swimming holes, bonfires, and overall slower pace of life. Mother nature heals and relaxes me like nothing else, and I am looking forward to experiencing the beauty of southern Mexico and Guatemala on an extended trip this January. If you live in those areas and want to let me stay on your couch I would greatly appreciate the hospitality!

I strive to be an honest and down-to-earth person that doesn't take herself too seriously. I want to use my talents to do some good in the world, and to fight against oppression and global inequality. I have been a bit of an overachiever at points in my life but now I am taking some time to re-assess my priorities and enjoy life in the moment. Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

I am going to be travelling around the Yucatan peninsula this January, starting from Cancun through Chiapas and San Cristobal into Xela and Antigua, Guatemala. I decided to go alone because I want to connect with and learn from local people and other travelers. I am so excited to experience a different climate, culture and cuisine while improving my Spanish skills.

I have an affinity for the outdoors and love doing sporty activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, and biking. I also draw and paint as a personal hobby, and think visual art is a great way to get to know a new place and landscape. If you let me stay in your house I will paint you a picture! I also love music, poetry, crafts and other forms of art and will be seeking them out in my travels.

I am into progressive, leftist politics and hope to visit some community organizations and collectives during my travels. I enjoy long discussions about life, society, and government. I would love to share some of my experiences and viewpoints while hearing more about current events and local perspectives in Mexico and Guatemala.

One time my college team played Rugby for 24 hours in an effort to raise money for breast and colon cancer research. This established a Guinness World Record, which was promptly beaten by a men's team in Ireland.
