Although stuck in the rut of child raising for many years, in my sprightly old age I am off to see the world again. I work with my hands, stay up too late, and drink too much tea (for which the only solution is hiking in a skirt). I am interested in seeing the world through others' eyes - the art, buildings, food of other ways of living.

Old things, not-so-old things. Ah, yes...people!
I like textiles, bicycles, architecture, gardens and BOOKS and sometimes children.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: not main-stream Hollywood. LOTR is the BEST.
Books: I especially like autobiographies - I'm currently stuck on accounts of Antarctic exploration c1908-15. Long-time favourites include Larkrise to Candelford, Cider With Rosie, Middlemarch, His Dark Materials.

I have raised three wonderful children. I would be happy to instruct anyone on how to do this properly.
Other than this amazing area of expertise, I have the usual assortment of obscure skills and am always happy to learn new ones.
