I'm a 29 year old married mother of 2 children, ages 9 and 4. I love being outdoors, especially in water. I am a full time student working toward my Bachelors in Physics. My husband is a 100% disabled war veteran. We are a 420 friendly family. I don't partake, however my husband does. It is his medicine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In about 4 weeks, my family and I are moving to Mississippi, only bringing our cars and what we can fit in it and just starting over. We are going to take our time traveling across the US and want to see some neat things along the way. We want to reduce costs by possibly camping and staying with locals that can show us around. We love water, so we love to visit different rivers, watering holes, etc, especially since our trip will be in the middle of summer!

Interests

I dabble in many different interests, but most of my life revolves around my kids. So I try to find interests that include them. Aside from those interests, I love playing guitar and singing. Love live music. Dancing. Freeing experiences. Hiking. Water.

I love most music. Country, rock, dubstep, live music. Old. New. I'm not a picky person. Movies- A Star is Born is currently my favorite. Shows- The Flash!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a family unit, we hiked the Appalachian Trail up to McAfee Knob. I carried our now 4 year old (who was 1 at the time) in a Tula carrier on my back and my now 9 year old(then 6) hiked the whole almost 8 miles by herself. We had a blast in the beautiful scenery. It was definitely a beautiful experience that made me realize I wanted to thru hike the AT one day!

I don't know that I have much in the departments of teaching, learning, sharing, other than just life experiences and intellectual conversation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My personality and good conversational skills. I can cook, clean up after myself, and can keep a pretty upbeat attitude in most situations. I am a mom first and foremost, so my life does revolve around my kids. But I love to just connect with people and love to learn about every new person I meet.
