Overview
About Me
An environmentalist through and through. Partners with the lovely man in my profile picture. I caught the travel bug this past summer going to Australia and New Zealand but we hope to see a lot more of the U.S.
Just finished my undergrad. studying Environmental Science and Policy. I don't have pets but I have two awesome tomato plants and a vermiculture bin.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I said before, I want to see a lot more of the U.S. I believe in the goodness and reciprocity of people ad couch surfing sounds like the perfect blend. Once I get off campus my house will undoubtedly be open to others. But for now I'm ready to see new places and meet new people through CS.
Interests
Farmers markets, books, libraries, co-ops, running, hiking, second hand shopping, social justice, making art. I love the idea of urban homesteads/gardens and would love to own a chicken in the near future.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch enough movies to speak on them. But music is easy. Anything artful. I lean toward folk and bluegrass because it's what I grew up with, but you also have to love classic rock. There is a great music scene in DC that I would be happy to show anyone I host in the future.
Books- I alternate between fiction and nonfiction. Nonfiction tends to be about food, religion, or social justice. Fiction is usually a classic. I think Dostoyevsky is brilliant.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swam in the restricted section at Bondi Beach- got yelled at over a megaphone. Climbed Mount Te Aroha in New Zealand.
Teach, Learn, Share
Would love to stay up and talk about urban issues, food systems, and a multitude of other nerdy things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I could bring a book or some food to share? Food always brings people together.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, New Zealand
