About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live and enjoy the beauty of life. Succeed. Fail. Learn. Laugh. Love.

ABOUT ME

Raised in Chicago area. Spent the last few years in AZ, and now traveling in my volunteer program. I hope to travel all 50 US states.

I believe in God, Bacon, and being kind to others. I'm full of stories and have a morbid sense of humor.

PHILOSOPHY

I think I'm here to do something great with my life... even if it means making one person's life better. I believe it is my duty to help my fellow man. My choices are between me and God; the same is said for others. I feel if we're not helping one another, then what are we doing here?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very organized and respectful of other people's spaces and clean up after myself. I understand and believe in respecting homeowners. I hope to demonstrate/ receive respect, love and kindness; and share some stories. I'll cook or bake!

Once I have a couch of my own to share, I shall share!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Yet to have the full blown couch surfing experience.

Interests

My pets, other people's pets, travel, culture, languages, food, music, art, eccentric people, humble people, animals, eating animals, humor that crosses the line into being uncomfortable... what doesn't interest me... I'll take an opportunity to learn about people or things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Used book shops are dangerous. A Handmaid's Tale is one of my favorites.

Musicals, war movies, comedies, and documentaries. Foreign films are always interesting, no matter how terrible. Les Mis in any media form.

Visiting a butterfly house on Mackinac Island when I was in preschool...best day ever

Young women's conference for engineering at Northwestern University age 12

My mom falling asleep in the fourth row of a sold out Vegas show

Swimming with dolphins, sting rays, manatees, sea turtles, whale sharks, and played with spider monkeys

Volunteer at homeless shelters, Phoenix zoo

Took a pictures of Navy ship.... not supposed to do that on base I guess

Girl's science camp on Catalina Island with USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental studies

Took amazing photos of cheetahs in Africa

Currently in a national service program, working for our country and our communities.

Teach: Basic technology skills, Microsoft Office, basics of Adobe Suite, event promoting/ logistics, housekeeping, English, what it's like to work in healthcare or the government, lots of random facts, persuasion, creative writing, job skills (professionalism of white and blue collar), how to be of use to your community based on things you already like or do. Disaster preparedness. Media relations.

Learn: culture, languages, life experiences, professional experience, travel tips and hacks. ANYTHING... sewing, a new religion, how to do accents, a new recipe
