My name is Collette and I am a San Francisco local, raised by a wonderful family and community that helped foster and facilitate my adventurous spirit. I was bitten by the travel bug a few years ago on holiday in Europe, but have been preoccupied with getting my Bachelor's in Political Science from University of California, Berkeley.

I just graduated in May 2017 and have been working to save some money to go travel for more than a week at a time. As a broke young person straight out of college, I am joining the CS community as a means to travel while meeting wonderful people abroad.

As for my tastes and talents, I am an open-minded and kind person who is sensitive to other views and values. Currently, I work as a studio manager, copywriter and designer to a famous San Francisco photographer and creative director. I want to delve more into the arts and figure out what my passions/skills are, but before I join the workforce or commit to art school, I think it is necessary to find myself a bit; to meet inspiring people and to work with my hands. I need a little break from studying and academia in general, as well as desk/computer work.

I want an immersive and challenging experience abroad and I am looking forward to meeting you!

I am very capable with all things creative, including design, branding, painting, drawing, photo/video, editing, music (singing, guitar, violin, piano). My favorite creative activity is writing, which I expect to do quite often while I am traveling. I have extensive experience with children, as I'm also just a big fan of kids! I'm a professional equestrian (english style) and enjoy caring for farm animals like cows, horses, goats and household pets like cats and dogs, etc.

I am physically fit and fare well with manual labor. Whether I am traveling or in one place, I am very active in my day to day. I bicycle everywhere, run, hike, play basketball, swim and surf and am an advanced PADI Scuba Diver. I am also a very skilled wilderness backpacker and have gone on many solo trips into the North American wilderness. I don't cook for myself too much but I enjoy cooking (and drinking ;) with a group. I make very healthy and simple meals full of fresh vegetables and on occasion, meat or fish. I am extremely interested in food sustainability and nutrition, and have helped friends with their personal fitness.

In any case, I am very hardworking, low maintenance, easy to get along with and respectful of rules and all individuals.
