I want to learn to be comfortable in any setting, to be vulnerable, and to practice the act of wonder in every moment.

ABOUT ME

I grew up and attended college in Eugene, Oregon. During my junior year I spent a semester studying abroad through Semester at Sea, where I sailed on a ship around the world and visited 10 countries. After that wonderful, but small taste of so many places, I knew I wanted to spend more time in a foreign country. To that end, I spent a year saving up money after graduation.

After quitting my job, I went on a month and a half motorcycle trip to the southwest United States and visited the grand canyon. Then I left to Peru with no return ticket and little knowledge of the language. I hope to see what happens. More concrete goals include deciding on a career path and learning Spanish.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm amazed at the fact that everything exists and I want to experience it without reservation. I'm, not owed anything from existence, so I shouldn't expect anything, but simply appreciate the present moment.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to become a part of couchsurfing to meet new people as a surfer in my current travels, and as a host when/if I settle down somewhere.
