About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning fiddle tunes, learning circus stuff, learning Italian!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Alaska, and after completing college in the lovely and rainy state of Washington, I've been doing seasonal work and traveling for the past 4 years. I've done two seasons at McMurdo Station, the USA's National Science Foundation's main base of operations for Antarctica. I've hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, a 2,660 mile long trail from the Mexican/USA border to the Canadian/USA border, mostly by myself. This last year I've been working as a trip leader for an international travel company, and was able to lead trips in Costa Rica and Alaska.

PHILOSOPHY

I can't run away from myself, so I'd better be running towards something awesome!

When I was learning Spanish, I loved learning the verb amanacer, which means "to break the dawn". Although it is never, EVER used this way, I like the possibility of a word like amanezco, which means "I break the dawn". We all make choices in our lives.

That got a little hippie dippy. Anyways. Make good choices!
