ABOUT ME
Open-minded, open-hearted lover of learning and damn good conversation. And I have an obsession with working for social justice. From rural North Carolina, living in Alabama doing graduate work. Roll Tide.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed and lived on many a couch. Excited to surf and live on more. Excited to hopefully host soon (when said couch/sleeping space is acquired). Love meeting new people.
Interests
I love working in LGBTQ and feminist advocacy causes. I'm a vegetarian and pretty obsessed with cooking new things. I love having conversation over coffee or beer. I like things that make life wonderful: Social justice advocacy, tattoos, guided meditation, jogging, yoga, fresh air, incense, coffee, beer, thrift stores, coffeeshops, bookstores, music, brunch, and mimosas. I like being comfortable in social situations or simply sitting alone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My experience living abroad for a month in Costa Rica had a pretty phenomenal impact on how I view the world. There's something about simple beauty that naturally occurs that so many people take for granted. Likewise, there's something about meeting new people and diving into the world that's pretty substantial for personal growth.
Working to defeat Amendment One in North Carolina and, furthermore, working on LGBTQ advocacy in North Carolina over the past year has left me with a fulfilled feeling I haven't known before. I want to keep this up.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share coffee, beer, brunch, and conversation with you. I can teach you English, how to cook Vegetarian food, how to engage in social justice activism, and how to give a damn about the political world.
