ABOUT ME

I am a 25 year old guy whose passion is connected to travel and being outdoors! When I travel I seek to not only see a place but to experience it. The last couple of years I have spent my summers fighting fire and in the winter I travel. Bike touring has been my primary and preferred method of travel last two winters and I believe it to be the best mode to see and experience foreign lands and cultures. I have been fairly inactive from couchsurfing over the last couple of years, not being able to host, but for a while I was very active in it and would like to delve back into the community.

Besides travelling, I am very active in the outdoors and an active person in general. I pursuit living a healthy, well rounded lifestyle. I enjoy cooking and creating in the kitchen. I am a vegetarian. I like to ferment foods and beverages. I enjoy cooking for others. For me, sharing a meal is a bonding experience that can bring even strangers close together. I enjoy meaningful conversation and meeting new people!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies- Not a huge movie buff but enjoy some classic comedies

Music- I love live music and enjoy a plethora of genres. Bluegrass and Jam music is my go to. Enjoy some House/Electronic music, Worldbeats, etc. I always am looking for new tunes.

Books- I love non fiction, survival stories, adventure narratives, biographies. I also love fiction. Favorite authors include: Edward Abbey, Carl Hiassen, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Tom Robbins

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Two years ago I bike toured from San Diego, California to San Jose, Costa Rica. It was a 4 month trip and just over 4000 miles. By far my biggest life accomplishment!
