About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live life, be happy, and have no regrets.
ABOUT ME
Hmmmm...let's see. I like to keep things as interesting as possible.
I have had every job on the face of the planet: babysitting, retail in Disney World, telemarketing, lifeguarding, coaching a swim team, live-in nanny-ing, cashier-ing, office work, working for a tour bus company, and a few others...now I have been doing promos and events for a couple years.
However, I just started a new face painting business, trying to delve into special fx and body art too! I LOVE it and feel so happy when I a doing it. Unfortunately I've gone broke trying to start up...
I think sporks are incredibly amusing, and have decided I'm going to make a million dollars by inventing a glow in the dark, sparkly spork (aka the "Sporkle").
I sometimes go up to random strangers and give them hugs. Or ask them for sporks.
I once spent a year in Venezuela, and it was the most amazing experience of my life.
I once worked at Disney Boot Camp.
I really like taking pictures, and do so at every opportunity.
I am a vegetarian, and have been since I was 13.
I love coffee, and could tell you which subways to take to get to places that sell certain flavors of coffee in Manhattan.
Lizards are cool.
I love my job.
I like when people are happy, and try my best to keep the peace.
I often start saying something, and then forget what I was talking about mid-sentence.
I am sometimes very random.
PHILOSOPHY
I'd rather regret the things I've done than the things I haven't. But actually, I have no regrets because everything even the shitty things in life, have shaped who I am. I have become a MUCH happier person since I stopped having regrets.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was told about CS by a girl who did a promo with me, and tried it out when I was still bouncing between NY and PA for different jobs. I have since moved to NY, and have been to a few meetups, though admittedly not as many as I would like. I have been trying to spread the word as much as possible. and tell everyone (well everyone I think is trustworthy) about CS. It is great and the NYC community is truly an incredible force which I would like to become a bigger part of.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, so good. I surfed Howard's couch, and went to a few CS meetups in NYC. And moved here, too. :):):)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music, I like almost anything. No heavy metal really, or rap, though. I'm more into comedy (Dr Demento anyone?), country, pop, latin, and SHOW TUNES!
Movies...comedy, drama, etc. I love "Saved!", "Rocky Horror Picture Show", "Beaches", "Selena", "Harry Potter", "Blades of Glory", and a million others...
Books...I love to read! I don't often have time to sit down and enjoy a good book, but do so when I get the chance. "Memoirs of a Geisha" is one of my all-time favorites, as well as the Harry Potter series, "Like Water for Chocolate", and a wide mix of others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The year I spent in Venezuela was absolutely amazing. I consider myself very lucky to have had that opportunity at such a young age (16-17 years old). It really opened my eyes to the world outside my town, and gave me the desire to see and do everything.
Teach, Learn, Share
Life is too short to worry about the small stuff. I speak from experience. My main goal in life is to be happy, because in the end what matters is that you led a fulfilling life.
