Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Crazy to think I joined CS 17 years ago! I used to travel a lot! I used my flight benefits and went to quite a few different countries. I've spent collectively almost a year in Europe. I lived in Guatemala for 6 months. I backpacked... The good old days. Now I am a mama and I have two babies and a husband, so my carefree, jet-setting days are a *bit* on hold, but I still am a curious, wanderer, free-spirit at heart. Hopefully once my kids are older and can handle flights, I'll get back out there. •••

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I surfed my first couch on the beautiful island of Kauai with fellow cs'er Seth. Had a blast. Can't wait to surf again! Feb.2008.Kauai, HI. Surfed Seth Friedman's couch. I love meeting people, making friends, and connecting. Community is huge to me, which is perhaps why I love couchsurfing and traveling so much.
