About Me

CURRENT MISSION

In my final semester of my undergrad. I'm studying English and I'm pursuing grad school!

ABOUT ME

I've been known to be a very passionate person in regards to what I love. People typically find out very quickly what I'm all about because I can't contain my excitement. I'm incredibly enthusiastic about my love for the New England region, chances are if you're reading this, you're a potential host in the aforementioned region. I interned in Worcester, MA and I resided in nearby Grafton, during the summer of 2016 and quickly fell in love and knew that I wanted to stay forever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To cut down on the cost of exploring and visiting my favorite places, namely New England. But more than that, meeting and engaging with new people that have interesting and different lives than I!

Interests

I write when I feel particularly inspired. I recently finished a story that I'm proud of that won an award from my university's literary journal.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read an extensive amount or at least, a decent amount. I read sixty books this past year and am hoping to surpass that amount this year! Some of my favorites are Stoner by John Williams, A Separate Peace by John Knowles, Ordinary People by Judith Guest, the Potter series, Red Rising by Pierce Brown, It by Stephen King, and many, many more.

Reading has taken up the time I used to dedicate to watching films but below are my top five favorites! There's no particular order, aside from my number one: Manchester By The Sea, Dead Poets Society, Brooklyn, Hocus Pocus, The Witch.

My musical tastes vary greatly. That's also incredibly cliche to say, I'm very much aware. What I listen to primarily is not, however. I enjoy genres that are...a bit intense: hardcore, metal. It's always a shock to those that find out as I'm told I don't quite fit the stereotypical description. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. My favorite musician would probably be Julien Baker at the moment. Her music is wonderful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in a very fortunate position when I began to read the Harry Potter series; I was making a lot of tips at my then current job. I was able to save my tip money and to book a trip to the Wizarding World theme park at Universal Studios in Orlando. Sadly, I couldn't find anyone to go with me, but I didn't let that prevent me from going. I took a two-day solo trip that ended up being two of the happiest days of my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My passionate interests, fun personality, book recommendations, and engaging conversations.
