ABOUT ME

Well..I live back in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, U.S.( Asheville). I love seeing music (jazz, gypsy jazz, bluegrass, irish)I really enjoy backpacking,fishing, kayaking, and would love to get into rock climbing. I am very friendly, open minded, curious,likes to laugh,free spirited, and always down for trying something new and different. I enjoy good food, wine and microbrews, but I am not very big into partying. I love learning about new cultures and meeting new people. From june till the end of september I am traveling and working on organic-renewable energy farms to gain experience for my future farm. I love pickles and always wear my cowgirl boots-even if I look like a freak.

PHILOSOPHY

Be open and receptive to the world around you. pay attention not only to you and the ones you care about, but also others in your community, country, and world. Do onto others as you would want them to do to you. Live every moment to the fullest, try new things, experience life in all its fullness. LAUGH. LOVE. and laugh again. Live a life of meaning, instead of investing in a meaningless life full of meaningless things. Learn to be self sufficient.Be in touch with nature. EAT as much food as you possibly can without gaining 20 pounds or going broke.

In paris I met Lada, who is part of the couch surfing community and had a good time, and in Torino, Italy I stayed with maurizio who is also a member. Otherwise this is all new to me

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies...a lot. Young Frankenstein(any of Mel Brookes films, Gone with the Wind, Sound of Music,Star Wars(Trilogy),Oliver!, My Fair Lady,Goonies, La Vita e Bella, Lawrence of Arabia,Spledor in the Grass, Dances with Wolves,Sleeping Beauty,Outsiders, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, the Omen, Bad Seed..I am forgetting so much!.... Right now I am reading Tom Robbins- Another Roadside Attraction... Music- gypsy jazz(went to django reinhardt festival-it was great) Django, Bireli Lagrene, Rosenberg Trio,Ludovic Beiur. Bluegrass Tony Rice, Tim OBrien, Ricky Skaggs, Bela Fleck. I also enjoy Irish, latin, and Motown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Within a 10 day period in June I saw the Appalachian mountains, Scottish Highlands, and the Alps...i think thats pretty cool. Django Reinhardt Festival was the best weekend ever..I have never seen so much amazing music and meet so many amazing people and tried so much smelly cheese.
