ABOUT ME
I've never lived anywhere more than 5 years. My dad was in the US Air Force, so my family was constantly on the move. I guess that helped instil a love of travel in me from an early age. I studied abroad in Germany for the 2008-2009 school year and loved it! I love to have fun and am pretty laid back, but my life is organized with post-its and often colour coded.
PHILOSOPHY
Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A friend and I were hosted in Zürich for 3 days and had wonderful hosts! We were able to celebrate their Christmas (on January 6th) with them and meet a few of their friends. We had an amazing international night involving a Chinese woman, her French boyfriend, a Swiss man, 2 Ukranians, and 2 Americans eating Ukrainian food while listening to Spanish music. So many cultures coming together to have a good time; this is why I became a part of this project!
I also had a glorious time in Hamburg involving random trips to the beach, roasting marshmallows with borrowed bunsen burners, and motorcycle rides. My trip to Hamburg would not have been nearly as fun without Couch Surfing!
Interests
Photography, literature, traveling (of course), staying up late getting to know people, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (watch it--it's amazing), theatre, banana juice, musicals, Audrey Hepburn, apple juice, friends, peach juice, monkeys, late night sing-a-longs, British humour, people who aren't afraid to be honest about who they are--even if you might not like it...there are too many things to list here. Just know that I enjoy getting the most out of life and having a good time with the people I care about.

Music, Movies, and Books
There's definitely not enough space in this box...1984, Lord of the Rings, anything Christopher Moore, a good deal of Austin, Shakespeare, Romantic poets (the period, not the emotion), Ender's Game, Agatha Christie (with Hercule Poirot), the list goes on and on..
As for music, I like a wide range of things from the Beatles to Norah Jones to Creed and Nickleback to Ich und Ich. It generally depends on my mood at the time. The only thing I don't like is Country Western music and (most of the time) peoople screaming at me rather than singing--but even screaming fits certain moods...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living on Guam, helping people recover after devistation, exploring Hamburg by motorcycle, dodging fireworks in Prague during New Year's Eve, perusing German Christmas markets in London (and Germany), seeing the Alps, and finding out I have things in common with people half way across the world . Life is amazing.
