ABOUT ME

I am a bit on the short side but it does not bother me.I am a very friendly,down to earth and loving person,always looking forward to meet people.Listening to others experiences which inspire me and sharing mine with them.It was always my dream to travel,but could never afford it.Since Im teaching in Saudi Arabia I take full advantage of the opportunity as I will never be able to do so from South Africa.Finance is an obstacle.Im very excited about cooking and always look forward to try out a new dish or two. Baking is my forte.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In January 2011 I was introduced to CS whilst travelling.At the moment I am working in Saudi Arabia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am really looking forward to meet other CS members,listening to their travelling experiences (that inspires me a lot).Sharing mine with them too.

Interests

First and foremost it's travelling. I will be returning back to my country soon, so I would like to see more of the world.I love dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Im very old school so its the Bee Gees,Tom Jones Percy Sledge,however listening to music is very soothing for me.I love reading any books of Sydney Sheldon,Jude Deveraux,Wilbur Smith and Dean Koonitz

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was present with the birth of my first granddaughter,who is eigth months old.

Teach, Learn, Share

Afrikaans( mixture of German and Dutch) is my mother tongue.I would like to teach it others.Also sharing some South African cooking like pannekoek.Teaching the waka,waka(2010 Soccer World Cup opening song)I'll bake you a mean cake or help with some homework.Always a pleasure.
